We strongly recommend the use of a grommet or plastic snap bushing when running wires, cables, or harnesses through metal barriers. These offer protection to chafing, nicks in the insulation, and short circuits that occur as a result.

You can also use these for hoses and lines. For example, we use snap bushings all the time to protect fuel lines as they pass through metal barriers.

These are incredibly difficult to find, so we’ve taken that out of the equation. We offer sizes from 1/8″ ID to 1 1/2″ ID.
