Description
At CE Auto Electric Supply, we wrote the book on Automotive Wiring…literally. Founder Tony Candela has two automotive electrical books in print, perfect for do-it-your-selfers or seasoned professionals who want to really understand how to approach and complete a wiring task of any scale.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised that this book doesn’t read like a college level physics book. Rather, it’s written from the perspective of one enthusiast to the other. Topics are presented in crystal clear fashion and hundreds of photos and diagrams supplement the text. With this book in your tool box, you’ll be able to competently understand, diagnose, service, install, and troubleshoot nearly anything electrical.

I got both Volumes of Tony’s Electrical books, at the same time. Wiring was always one of the aspects of being a Gearhead I found re-volting, (pun intended). I was hoping to get past some of my misgivings. By the time I finished devouring the contents of ‘Projects’, I was genuinely excited about implementing many of the techniques found in these books. I went back through them, with a highlighter in hand, even going so far as to modify some of the schematic drawings to suit my needs. These could easily be text books. If I ever decide to give up my trusty, and beloved carb, I will get Tony’s EFI book, too.

I have been working on cars since I was old enough to be in the shop with dad. Electrical was always something I stayed away from. Leaning and understanding electrical systems has been quite enjoyable with the help of Tony’s books. It dose a very good job of breaking it down to be easily understood. While still giving you in in-depth parts to be able to fully understand the systems. The book also show you the proper way to do the job and stresses the importance of why it’s done that way. It has helped me to produce high quality electrical components in my projects. Even if you have been working in the auto industry for years the book has plenty of helpful hit and tips that can take your work to the next level. Defiantly worth a read.

I read Automotive Wiring and liked it so much I bought the EFI Conversion months later. Both books are well written and easy to understand. The thing I like most about the books is that it gets you thinking about your vehicles wiring and is it safe and working correctly. For me I discovered that my electric fuel pump wiring was under sized and needed to be upgraded.
A little bit of electrical theory is always good to diagnose a problem or avoid one and the way its presented is easy to understand. Both books will also be a great reference source for future upgrades.
