This is not a solution for stock 2 Pin style Alternators.  This will also not fix your charging system if you have something unrelated to the alternator’s circuit path.  This only works for alternator circuit detection.

Especially popular for the customer who wants to bypass the RVC system so that they can use a stand-alone alternator with the GM 4pin harness (P101).  When run in factory form on these model vehicles, there will be fluctuating voltage and normally the alternators charge at a lower voltage.  Although this is completely normal since the PCM is controlling the voltage in order to achieve max fuel economy, a stand-alone unit will output higher and more stable voltage.

This does not work with the factory alternator!  If you have the factory alternator and use this adapter, your Battery light will stay off but your stock alternator will default to 13.4 – 13.6 Volt charging.  While this may charge the battery, it is not ideal and can lessen the life of your battery in addition to reduced electrical performance.
