This tool is the OEM spec tool for Packard 56 and 59 Series Terminals. It crimps single wires in sizes up to 12 AWG. This is compatible with 20-18, 16-14, and 12 AWG Female Terminals as well as 20-18 and 16-14 AWG Male Terminals.
Terminals are crimped in two stages – electrical and mechanical.
This tool is also able to properly crimp the electrical crimps on 12-10AWG Lear MAK8 terminals!

Fed up with cheaper/inferior crimpers, I splurged on these. It’s pricey, but the results speak for themselves. I practiced on some spare terminals and wires to get familiar with the tool. The end result – satisfyingly beautiful and strong crimps. If you are wanting durable and factory-appearing Packard 56 crimps, I highly recommend making the investment.
